Wow! I was more of a paperback fan than a comic book fan when I was a kid. Looks like I missed something good. I’m going to buy these for my son.
I like how Samson’s mother tries to stop him from going to Times Square. Growing up in New York in the 70s and 80s, Times Square was definitely a no-go area for children!

Great post–I’m Mighty Samson fan myself (have the first archives book from Dark Horse). Interesting in that it even predate Kamandi!
I’ve also added it to the “Appendix Gamma” links of post-apocalyptic influences/inspirations on Gamma World War.
