BIG HERO SEVEN

"These Times Are A Changin"

By Revenger

Tokyo, Japan - The New Kyuto Center

Mr. Juther, ace reporter for the Daily Herald arch nemesis paper of the Daily Bugle. His slick loathers click as he steps out of the airport Taxi. Behind him comes Madeline Goodwater, ace-in-training photographer. She scurries up to the calm Mr. Juther.

Sharon-So Mr. J? Who'd do you think is gonna be on the team.

Juther-Probably Sunfire and some other no-names.

Sharon-Isn’t it exciting! Japan is going to unveil their version of the Avengers.

Juther-Not really kid, I’ve been to hundreds of super heroic conferences, first one being with Cap and his "Kooky Quartet". Believe me they’re all the same, first the leader of the team comes out and introduces the rest of the team with ridiculous titles like "the magnificent" or "astounding". Then all the smile, constantly whispering to each other when they think we can’t see. They make a threat to every costume crook and then answer questions in ambiguous ways.

Juster crouches down to the miniature Sharon and whispers...

"Oh, and don’t even think of calling them the Japanese Avengers in front of anyone."

The two continues through the building up the levitating glass elevator that impresses even Juster. They go through a long tunnel similar to a security door but not quite. They finally reach they top where a large glass dome illuminates over the horde of seated press.

A skinny, smiling man in a black suit comes out from the curtain and heads toward the podium. The bee-like sound of the reporters’ chatter dies down as he grabs the microphone without the nuisance of static. Behind him are three translator from different countries each with com links in hand.

P.R. Man-Ladies and Gentlemen of the press, today is a truly momentous day on which history will remember forever. The world toady is truly a dangerous place, every other week there is a new threat which could wipe out Earth as we know it. Whether it be Bres the Beautiful, the Kree, Sh'iar, Magneto, Loki the list goes on and on. Countries have ways to counter these threats: The United States has The Avengers and the Fantastic Four; Canada has Alpha Flight; Russia has the Winter Guard; England has the Crusaders; and ever other country in Europe has the EuroStars.

Japan cannot hope to survive with only two or three which act random. Behind this curtain are seven truly noble and powerful super heroes, each with astounding powers. Some are familiar faces, while others merely have heroism waiting to be seen. Ladies and Gentlemen I present to you... Big Hero Seven.

The crowd is once again consumed in murmurs and whispers. The man motions his hand up, signaling them to stop.

Behind the curtain of the stage:

Fourteen people are gathered hear in this dark area, all bustling around as they frantically try make each member of Big Hero Seven to look perfect for the press. Nearest to the curtain’s slit is skinny woman, wearing a red and black costume and has dyed blonde hair. Swarming around her are the finest make-up artists Japan could find. They powders here face and comb her hair while she stands still, a huge smile on her face from the excitement of the day.

Back outside the P.R. Man smiles a charming smile and lifts his arms towards the red curtain’s slit.

P.R. Man-And now the first of our new superteam.... HONEY LEMON!

The skinny woman cartwheels from out of the curtain and flips onto her feet and she spins her legs back flips towards the podium. The crowd roars in applause as the P.R. Man continues.

P.R.Man-The woman who is always prepared, Honey Lemon has everything anyone could need inside her purse.

Honey Lemon flips open the lid of her miniature purse and rips out a huge metallic gun, which light weight plastic allows her to carry it with ease. She spins it around and places it into her purse as it shrinks at tremendous speeds. She places her hand back into the purse and pulls out a handful of magazines. She smiles at the crowd and throws them into the audience. She sidesteps back towards a yellow circle in front of the curtain.

Back behind the curtain a tall bulky man walks toward the curtain. His hair is in a cowlick and his glad that the vultures around him won’t have to fix it. He looks at the other end of the room and see a small boy in a suit sitting on a table and swinging his legs. The boy waves and the man waves back. He turns back towards the curtain and his eyes turn red to match its color. Black claws snap in the place of his fingers and his changes to a green hue. Spikes decorate his now warped face and his closes are covered in a green, shell-like armor. A tail tears through his back side and he crouches in a readied position.

P.R.Man-Next up is the half dragon/half man .... BAYMAX!

Baymax erupts from the curtain and slams onto his palms and feet in front of the drawing back audience. He walks forward on all fours in an animal like fashion, growling and makings snorts. He’s rehearsed this hundreds of times over.

P.R.Man-He possesses the strength of hundred man and has impenetrable skin!

In a shaft near the ceiling ten men push a ten ton cube of rock down a plane towards the floor. It speeds down directly towards Baymax. He looks up and stretches him arms out from his body and bends them. This is his favorite part of the demonstration. The cube is now five feet above Baymax and suddenly he snaps his claw into the square. The weight causes him to bend his knees and teeter a little. His claws dig more into the square and he raise above his head towards the curtain. The rehearsal leader told him specifically to crush it behind so no loose pieces he the audience and cause suits.

Baymax tenses his muscles, squeezing the cube with all his might. Cracks begin to form in the cube and finally, the square breaks into hundreds of pieces. The crowd erupts in applause at the feet of strength just performed. Baymax turns around and joins Honey Lemon on his own green circle pad.

Osaka, Japan - Outside the Thor’s Castle Video Arcade.

Three 17-year-old boys past the "No children under 16 allowed in this section" sign of the arcade. They can’t help but smirk as they look at the little 15-and-under kids who are glued to the advanced section window. The tallest boy remember when he was that age and he couldn’t wait to escape the sissy games and join the big boys and their fighting games.

Their thought is broken by the sound of the the youngest boy.

Youngest Boy-Hey guys, did you hear about the new Japanese superteam that the government was supposed to exhibiting today?

Oldest Boy-What’s to miss? A bunch of steroid pumped freaks in jump suits showing off their "powers"?

Middle Boy-Who cares? I going to go get some more tokens.

Three boys head to the token vending machine and take out their bills. As they prepare to place the papers inside the slot, a 19 year old man come up to them.

Man-Hello gentlemen. You guys sick of being limited to just pixels on a screen?

Oldest Boy-Yeah. I mean we beat every single game in there and used every code.

Man-Good. A few friends of my are forming a club, we play real life games with real life mazes and cutting edge tech. You guys interested?

Three Boys in Unison-Yeah!

Man-Come this way.

The New Kyuto Center

Five feet from the curtain women dressed in gold and black is smoking a cigarette in her right hand. Between her left arm and her rips are a large gold helmet. She knows it against her contract to smoke, but that was only in front of the media or in public as Go Go Tomago. But then again, isn’t Sakura Nakahara essentially dead?

Back on the podium the P.R.Man reaches for the microphone once again.

P.R.Man-Next on out list is the human torpedo... GO GO TOMAGO!

"That’s my cue."

Go Go Tomago crushes the cigarette in her hand, extinguishing it flame. She opens her palm up and ignorantly lets the ashes fall to the ground. She lifts her helmet up and clicks it into place around her head. She back up and few foot steps and then runs forward.

"Go Go Tomago!!"

Go Go bursts from the curtain and flies over the audience. Her body is covered in several feet of pure plasmatic energy. She strains herself to swing around back towards the the podium, trying to keep above the reporters heads. She speed dies down and so does her shield. She jumps down from her former position, landing straight on her feet without the slightest hint of wobbling. Not as graceful or flashy as Honey Lemon’s acrobatics, but it does the job.

She turns towards the audience, bending her head at angle so her helmet hides her face. The costume designer fashion the helmet like this on purpose to hide her ever present frown.

"Oh if Father could see how his daughter has "failed" him."

P.R.Man-She can summon a powerful forced field and speed through the air at the slightest whim.

Go Go turns back towards the curtain and walks onto her purple square.

Outside The Kyuto Center

A lone black limo eases to a stop in front of the side walk. The door swings open and the Justin Mayamato’s slick heal clicks on the pavement. He stands straight up, a smug smirk on his face. Unfitting abnormalities decorate his form. Bumps here and there, edges in odd places. Behind him small amounts of blood drip out of the car. He looks around and turns back, looking on the bloody dying form of Justin Mayamato? He slams the door but without a sound. He turns back towards the center and begins to stroll towards it. Whistling

"Zipedy Do Da".

Back behind the curtain six people frantically swarm around Sunfire’s red clad body. His face swirls and snaps crazily, going from normal to half black .

"It just started malfunctioning"

One of the swarming crew grabs the image inducer and runs down the hall way. The true form of Sunfire is reveled. Half of his face is as black as charcoal, a result of being infected by the Jack-Of-Heart’s Zero Fluid (Revealed during the real Marvel’s Alpha Flight). Ever since then he has tried hard to adjust to powers which have been boosted 10 fold.

Another of the crew places a celluer phone to his ear and mutters into it. Back on the podium the P.R. Man lifts his fingers to his ear. He flips a button on the side of the podium and a new file fizzles in front of him.

P.R.Man-Our next member is Ryu-Goshijin, The Dragon Master.

One of the crew swarm that surrounds Sunfire walks over to the lone caped figure.

Crew Swarmer-Er... Ryu san... er Ryu Goshijin, your demonstration is now.

The crewmen furthered Ryu-Goshijin’s observation of the complications of "modern" life. He was born and lived in more "simple" times, he sometimes feels that they were better. In response to the crewman’s request he motions his gauntleted hand. Green smoke billows out from inside his gauntlet. The smoke whirls spreads, forming a dragon. The smoke dispenses and reveals a small dragon in its place. Ryu-Goshijin steps onto its back, it’s obedience stops it from even a groan.

Ryu-Goshijin grabs one of the two elegant katana handles next to his right hip and unsheathes a glimmering blade. He outstretches the katana forward and yells a command to his dragon. The dragon’s wings flap and it flies out through the curtain. The crowd "oohs" and "ahhs" more then the previous members of the team as they observe the elegant grace of the dragon’s flight.

The air blows back Ryu-Goshijin green robe, revealing the ancient red-brown armor the covers his chest , knees and shins. The armor presses against a green strong silk that bags around his body and the amulet on his belt gleams like a star.

Ryu-Goshijin yells another command in an ancient tounge which humanity has forgetton. The dragon silently eases down onto the stage and Ryu-Goshijin steps down with dignified authority.

In the back of the row, Samuel Juthers whispers.

Juthers-Trust me Sharon, the dragon is by far some kind of light projection or robot.

P.R.Man-Mr. Juthers I can assure that this dragon’s authenticity is genuine.

P.R.Man (To Ryu-Goshijin)-Honorable lord, could you pleas direct your dragon to the man in the back?

Ryu-Goshijin nods and barks another order. His dragon flies down the aisle and lands next to Mr. Juthers with a big *thud*. The reporter can feel the vibrations from its steps. It hot breath bathes his face and its dark red eyes pierce into his essence. Juthers pushes the dragon away and falls down on his chair.

Juthers-GET IT AWAY FROM ME!

The crowd bursts into laughter as the Juthers stumbles back up to his feet. The P.R.Man smiles but Ryu-Goshijin doesn’t, but his expression can not be seen because of the green mask that covers his face. He lifts up his hand, next to the gold L-shaped blade that stick out from his eyebrow area, and motions it again and the dragon disappears in a cloud of green smoke.

P.R.Men-I believe their is no need for further presentations on Ryu-Goshjins part.

Hakodate, Japan - In the Penthouse of the Legends Shipping Company

Shirugo Yun stares at the large television adjacent to his large black desk. He strokes his cleanly cut goate and "Hm"s as the Ryu-Goshijin walks to his brown circle.

Shiregu-Perhaps?

He grabs a black crystal paper weight on his desk and squeezes it with all his might. The walls, windows and doors of his office are engulfed in a black wood like material. A large metal, casket-like box pops up from the floor and is followed by a large bookcase. Shiregu walks up to the bookcase and pulls out a large red book from it. On the cover is inscribed "IX-XI". He plops it on his desk and pokes his finger on the black seal between the pages in the cover.

Shiregu Yun- Ryu-Goshijin!

The books swings open, it pages fly and stop suddenly. Shiregu looks down and pages and strokes his chin.

Shiregu- This could prove indeed prosperous.

He stands up from his chair and walks over to the metal casket. He pushes in a circular latch on its front and the caskets doors fling open. Inside is a collection of talisman, weapons, armor, cloths, bottles and large scrolls. The objects inside the casket fly out in an inhuman fashion. They cling onto Shiregu’s body, fastening knots, locking armor in place and place weapons in their appropriate areas. Shiregu reaches into a large bag next to his hip and pulls out a large green crystal. He clutches the talisman and is emerged in yellow and green light. Suddenly he "blip"s out of existence.

In old temple somewhere in China

A old, robbed man stands in front of reflective sphere. Inside the image of Ryu-Goshijin is shown.

Mysterious man-Jaojen, how could you?

The hallway of the Kyuto center.

Calvin Zao A.K.A. Maelstrom A.K.A. Justin Mayamato has waited for this day for half a year. It was six months ago that the Killminators kicked him out of their mercenary group because he "wasn’t contributing anything to the group". Now he’ll show them. Could the Killminators hope to kill off Japan’s elite. No, but Maelstrom could.

Maelstrom adjusts the x-ray scrambler on his belt and strolls towards. With the tech he stole from several egg-heads he would sneak in, go to the front row and consume everyone in the building in his plasma-grav twister. The plan was fool proof. Calvin walks through the tunnel without a beep or click.

Maelstorm-Those fools, spending all that money and time on tech that can be easily countered.

Maelstrom begins to strut, exhibiting his arrogance to those oblivious idiots.

*WHAM*

A black object smack into Calvin’s, knocking him unconscious. As he begins to black out on the carpeted floor, he looks up at one of those "idiot" police guards, holding an electronic knight stick in hand.

The P.R.Man see’s one of the guards smack some intruder down. He acts quickly to draw the attention of his audience back to him.

P.R.Man-And now, a name you all probable know the man inferno, SUNFIRE!

The mutant known as Sunfire speeds out of the curtain in a ball of nuclear fire. He’s trying hard to keep his power low, although the blaze around him is bigger then Go Go Tomago’s force field. He strains his will to keep the blaze down, trying to keep his aura from singing any of the audience or wrecking his image inducer. He floats down next to the podium and flicks on his image inducer while the heat still distorts the image of his body.

He walks forward as looking like regular Shiro Yashida, Sunfire with relatively high levels of nuclear power. The crowd claps, he’s the only member of the team that has been seen before.

London, England - The Millennium Tower

Joey Chapman, the flag bearing Union Jack, sits on his couch sipping a bear. Next to him are: Jacquie Crichton, long lived speedster of WWII Spitfire; Dane Whitman, the noble Black Night; and Linda McQuillan, the dimensionally displaced Captain UK.

Union Jack-So Dane? What do you think of these blokes?

Black Knight- I’m not sure, the only one I recognize is Sunfire and the rest of them look a bit odd. I mean lady who can get anything out of her little purse? I dragon man named Baxmax?

Captain UK- Ha! This is probably what the Avengers thought when they saw us the first time. A third generation spy-type, a 18 year girl who still get senior discounts, a female version of one of their heroes, a teenage shadow kid, an elf in casual clothes and a Hank Pym rip off.

Union Jack-Heh, I wish Scott could be here to hear that.

Black Knight-So Jacquie? What do you think of ‘em?

Spitfire-Even Ste.. Captain America was a newbie at first, ask me in a few months.

The Kyuto Center

Silver Samurai stands straight and still, waiting for his turn. He is in deep thought. Is this his redemption for my past crimes? Could I finally go from villain to hero? No, I was never a villain, I..just had...bad masters? Who am I fooling? I was an assassin. A ninja. I’ll never make up for that evil.

P.R.Man-And now, master of the most powerful blades on Earth, the Silver Samurai!

Silver Samurai twists the nob on his belt and teleports to the stage in a flash of red light. He unsheathes his twin katanas and charge them up with tachyon energies. Two crew members in the back throws three metal bar at him.

*SLISHSLISHSLISH*

Now there are six, half bars and they clunk onto the ground. Silver Samurai sheathes his katanas and marches to his red circle, joining his anxious companions.

P.R.Man-And now last but not least, the leader of the group... TOKKO NIHON!

A square in the walk between the stage on the seats breaks away. Out of it flies the humanoid body of Tokko Nihon. It/his body is void, with a large red spot on it/his chest and a small red dot on it/his vaguely featured head. A white aura glimers around it/his body, given it/him a pure majesty. Gently, Tokko Nihon floats onto the stage.

P.R.Man-Nearly ten years in the making, Tokko Nihon is the product of the work of over a hundred engineers, physicists, mathematicians and robotsmiths. Tokko Nihon pocceses the greatest mind on the planet, able to calculate the hardest problems in seconds, carry seven conversations at once, control all machines that have computers in them and pocceses the greatest qualities of histories greatest leaders and philosophers. Not only that, but Tokko Nihon can generate strong electro magentic pulses at whim, press 127 tons and has the impervious Jooku polymer as skin.

Suddenly, three giant purple robots float down from the sky. Tokko Nihon immediately charges a electro magnetic pulse in his hand and flings at one of the robots. The pulse rips the robots body and smashes it into the wall. Tokko turns it/his attention to the second robot, who is firing hundreds of shells which shatter as they impact Tokko Nihon. Tokko speeds into a blur and rips right through the robots body. Tokko stretches his arm to the third robot and waits. The robot convulses and blasts it head off with its own gun.

Tokko Nihon floats back down to the stage and the claps. The rest of the groups joins Tokko at the front of the stage.

P.R.Man-Ladies and gentlemen, I give you BIG HERO SEVEN!

The audiences roars in applause.

New York City, New York U.S.A. - Avengers Mansion

Captain America leans forward is in chair at the huge monitor screen. Next to him are Carol Danvers, the magnifscant Ms. Marvel, the versatile Vision, Hank Pym, the yellow and black Yellow Jacket and Henry McCoy, the bombastic bouncing Beast.

The Beast swings his up-side-down head in front of the Vision.

Beast-Uh-Oh! Vizh, looks like your last year model.

The Vision draws back.

Yellow Jacket-Hey Hank, lay off the genius of my failure.

Both Hanks chuckle.

Ms. Marvel-So Cap, what do think of the new guys?

Cap- Sunfire’s had his moments before, he’ll have more in the future. The rest show promise.

Beast- Heh. The day I get saved by some spandexs named "Honey Lemon" or "Baymax" will be the day I die. *Chuckle*

Koshiro, Japan - Hephateus Electronics

Estao Yohoko can’t stopped smiling. Ever since the debut of Big Hero Seven his company has been swarmed by thousands of calls. Each call asking them to build something similar to Tokko Nihon or to buy stock in the company. He’s hade to put large sums of money in Research & Development and Construction, but it will be worth. They’ll buy whatever he dishes out for whatever cost.

New York City, New York U.S.A. - Empire State University

Sheldon Renolds, colleage professor, is aghast what the shimering glow has just told him. Walter Stevens, a fellow professor, walks in.

Walter-What’s happening.

Sheldon-This is the last step I tell you. Ultron and Vision were just freak accurances, now we got a machine that is smarter then the whole population put together. The clock’s (Doomsday Clock, a theortical clock that counts down to the end of the world) probably got a second left on it.

The Kyuto Center

P.R.Man-And now I will take your questions. Although since we are short on time I will only answer nine questions and will allow only one per person. Now?

Reporter- Is this Japan’s answer to Alpha Flight, The Avengers, Crusaders and Euro Stars?

P.R.Man-Not really an answer, merely a response, as I’ve said before, to the growing danger that Earth has become.

Reporter-To what extent does "greatest mind on the planet" go for Tokko Nihon? How can you be sure it is smarter then the Vision or Ultron.

P.R.Man- Mr. Pym, despite being a mechanical genius, was one man alone who spent two or three months on Ultron. Tokko Nihon is the product of ten years of engineering by over hundred great scientists with an almost limitless budget.

Avengers Mansion

Hank Pym grimaces at the analogy that has just be made of him.

Beast-Oooh. Dissed by the Japanese government.

Reporter- Didn’t Sunfire’s powers go out of control and cause a huge explosion the last time he was seen active.

P.R.Man- That is a problem that has been fixed, as you can clearly see.

Reporter- Isn’t the Silver Samurai a meta-felon who has aided both the Mandrill and Viper.

P.R.Man- I can assure that that villain has been arested and been incarcerated. He shared no connection to our SIlver Samurai, other then in name.

Reporter-Is Baymax one of Ryu-Goshijin’s dragons?

P.R.Man- No, Baymax is a regular man, who’s name shall be disclosed, who can turn into a dragon. Similar to the Thing and Hulk.

Reporter- Does Honey Lemon psionically manifest the items in her purse our is there a teleportation instrument in it.

P.R.Man-No, all Honey Lemon’s items are shrunk down and put into her purse before she goes into battle.

Reporter-Do have a Headquarters, if so where will it be and what will it be called?

P.R.Man-We have learned from the likes of the Crusaders, Avengers and Fantastic Four that it is best to keep our Headquarters in a secret location.

Reporter- Isn’t the name Big Hero _Seven_ very limiting? Will you ever add new members?

P.R.Man- Studies have shown that seven is the ideal number for a meta human team to operate, although we could always change the name to Big Hero Eight! *Chuckle*

The audience joins in the P.R.Man’s laughter.

Reporter-Does Honey Lemon share any connection to the television program on the JHX Network

P.R.Man- Honey Lemons name and likeness are part of a deal with JHX. Honey Lemon will promote their shows while they will devote large amounts of coverage solely on out team. Thank you, you can exit the building through the entrance.

And with that the P.R.Man and the stage crew let out a sigh of relief. This is the first super hero press conference in history that has gone smoothly without interuptions of any sort.

One week later

The New Kyuto Center

The excitement about Big Hero Seven has died down a little, mainly because the have yet to fight a meta-felon. The Kyuto center is now holding an auction of antiques, a dullnesss which will soon be broken.

Auctioneer-Next up is the Hand of Hoguth. This statue orginated in Mongolia in the ...

The auctioneer is interupted by loud boom and burst of red light. Suddenly, the towering 8.7 foot form of the Brand appears. In his huge claw, he holds the green Chrono-crystal. Under his helmet Shirigu smiles a wicked smile. He can sse many impormentr members of rival businesses. He uses his free claw and take out a small black pebal out of the large sack on his hip. He flicks it into the air and and it unleashes a sonic...

*BOOM*

The windows of the Kyuto center shater and the people in the building are slamed down. The Brand opens his free claw and unleashes a wave of fire onto the audience. Almost all of his rivals are incinerated. Behind him, he see’s a secrurity guard talk on an emergency phone. He does nothing, allowing the guard to continue his plea, he wants Big Hero Sven to come to him.

Over the next 7 minutes, The Brand continues his chaotic slaughter. Suddenly there is a white flash of light and the Brand falls to the ground. He peers up and see the floating forms of Big Hero Seven.

That’s enough.

To be continued

Next issue: The battle with the Brand continues! But why does he keeps saying he’s killing two birds with one stone? Also the video game plot continues as three boys find more then they bargained for!
