Arguably
possessed of the most powerful telepathic mind on the planet, Charles
Francis Xavier formed the X-Men to achieve his dream of human/mutant
equality. Although confined to a wheelchair, Professor X still remains
a paragon of strength and wisdom for his students. |
Gifted with
the mutant ability to manipulate the weather, Ororo Munroe was orphaned
as a young child and spent her formative years as a thief in Cairo.
Eventually she came to Africa, where she was worshipped as a goddess.
She accepted Professor X's offer to join the X-Men. As the X-Men's
field leader, she has proven herself time and time again. |
Son to the
terrorist known as Mystique, Kurt Wagner was abandoned as a child
and raised in the circus. After many years as a performer, he eventually
left the circus, only to find himself hunted by an anti-mutant mob.
Saved by Professor X, Kurt joined the X-Men and has used his powers
of teleportation as both an X-Man and as a member of the now-defunct
Excalibur. |
The youngest
of the original five X-Men, Bobby Drake is a mutant who possesses
the ability to control sub-zero temperatures. Throughout most of
his life, he has been something of a slacker in terms of developing
his powers, and is only now discovering new uses for them. |
When Warren
Worthington III hit puberty, angelic, feathered wings sprouted from
his back. As a member of the original X-Men, he reveled in the freedom
the wings gave him. After an encounter with Apocalypse, Warren's
wings were replaced with razor-sharp, metallic wings and his skin
was turned blue. Although his feathered wings returned for a time,
his metallic wings have mysteriously returned and with them, more
of a bloodlust. |
Piotr Nikolievitch
Rasputin grew up as a simple farmer in Russia. The organic steel
body and superhuman strength of Colossus conceals the soul of a
kind, gentle, artistic soul. Having known loss more times than one
man should, Colossus still continues to fight as an X-Man. |
The youngest
of the X-Men, Kitty Pryde first came to the Xavier Institute when
she was fourteen. Since then, she has grown far more adept with
not only her phasing abilities, but also her intellect and her fighting
skills. |
Very little
is known about the man called Logan. Armed with razor-sharp claws
coated with silver, a mutant healing factor, and heightened senses,
he is one of the most dangerous men alive. Despite his feral tendencies,
Wolverine still remains an honorable man and has once more returned
to his home with the X-Men. |
