Origin and Background: (Canadian) Tawnya Bedford is a part-time graphic artist and part-time librarian from Toronto who has a interest in medieval history. Her life was a mundane one, usually spent between her art and her job as a Librarian, until a fateful encounter with a strange glowing object in the night sky.

The strange object only hovered for a few minutes, but during this time, a beam of reddish light engulfed Tawnya for what seemed like an eternity to her. She could feel the beam of light seering at her skin. Her body was wracked with pain. It felt like every part of her body was on fire.

Suddenly, the strange object and its piercing beam was gone leaving Tawnya prone on the ground. Her skin was covered in many burns but to her surprise it didn't hurt and the wounds quickly healed in no time leaving only a strange reddish v-shaped scar on her shoulders. She found she was physically stronger and more durable than before.

These days, Tawnya pursues a life of adventure as Chevron.
