12:30 PM - News Update! Reports are coming in of mass panic and chaos in the streets. Riots have broken out within many metropolitan areas. Police and the National Guard have been dispatched to bring this wave of violence under control.

Creating Characters | The Zombies

The dead have risen from their graves and now crave the flesh of the living. The strange radiation from a passing comet (or whatever source of the infection the GM decides on) has caused the dead to reanimate and now seek out the living.

The Creating Characters page covers the rules for creating normal or slightly skilled characters. Super-powered characters are not the scope of this mini-campaign but are allowable if the GM wishes it. The focus of these pages are normal folks caught in an extra-ordinary situation.

The Zombies page covers various zombies based on state of decomposition. It may be noted that by themselves, zombies aren't terribly dangerous (unless you get bitten) but the risk factor increases dramatically as the number of zombies increases. You might be able to outrun the zombie but it will never tire or give up.

As for the actual nature of the Zombie campaign, the details are left up to the GM. The questions a GM should ask are the following:

Who becomes a zombie? Only those bitten by a zombie or anyone who dies? Are zombies vulnerable to any specific attack (i.e. a shot to the brain) or do they continue to act even when chopped up into pieces?

Best of luck against the undead hordes. May you never be bitten.
