Jake Beal is independently wealthy, and acts, dresses and speaks like a PI from the 1940's Warner Brothers films. His beat is Hollywood and (with his best friend, LAPD detective Chuck Pfizer) handles the 'weird' cases. Jake begins to see dead
actors and characters from films gone by, but no one else does. Is Jake's obsession with the film detectives warping his mind, or do these images pertain to the cases?
