I leave it up to gamemasters to create a more detailed map as needed.
- A. The Wall and Courtyard: The outer wall is reinforced wood a foot thick and twenty
feet high, structural rating 4. There are four towers, one in each corner, that stand 30 feet
high. The courtyard between the walls and the lodge is about 20 feet wide at the front and back
of the lodge, and about 10 feet at the sides.
- B. The Interior of the Lodge: The exterior and interior walls are all hard wood,
structural rating 3, furniture is soft wood, structural rating of 1. Floors and ceiling are hard
wood, SR=3, there is no attic, and there is a one foot crawlspace under the floor. Every room
has a chimney for ventilation. Light is provided by crude oil lamps, but electric light is
available in the laboratory from special lights Brandeau constructed to use chemical batteries.
- C. The Sitting Room: This is where the doctor will drink his home brewed liquor and
teas. If he were to recieve guests this is where he'd talk to them. He likes to spend a couple
hours here every evening, reading by lamplight.
- D. The Laboratory: Along the west wall are a bank of suspension tanks filled with
green-tinted liquid. They are controlled from a small console on the north wall. The system is
powered by chemical batteries. There are also 3 surgical examination tables and a cabinet with
various pieces of surgical and exam equiptment.
- E. The Holding Cells: This is where the doctor performs psychological conditioning
on his subjects, and holds subjects waiting to be used in experiments. The cells are steel,
brought with the doctor's original equiptment, with a structural rating of 11. Lightsources are
oil lamps and are kept outside the cells.
- F. The Stables: This is the animen's quarters. All of the animen sleep here on crude
beds of grasses and skins. There is a noxious musty smell, but the doctor makes them keep things
clean.
- G. Storage: This is where everything not needed elsewhere is stored. The doctor has
a basic still in the back corner where he makes his own whiskey. Chemicals for the batteries are
stored here, extra clothing for the doctor, and the basic components of the doctor's
gene-altering and life-prolonging processes.
- H. Brandeau's Quarters: Brandeua sleeps and dresses here. There is a basic bed,
wardrobe, and the only chemical toilet on the island!
- I. The Kitchen: Cooking is done on racks over a fire pit, there is storage in here,
but there is no refridgeration. Metal cooking pots and ceramic bowls are distributed about.
- J. The Dining Area: There is a long hardwood table and a long bank of chairs, the
doctor insists that his animen eat here with him. He uses it largely as an opportunity to
observe them in a controlled situation.
