Other Information: The Blitz Soldat, or Lightning Soldier, project was formed to find a way to increase the speed and reflexes of the common soldier, for either temporary or extended periods of time. The experiment was a success, but was only used on one subject after severely detrimental side effects were brought to light. The subject's metabolism increases to such a degree that they age ten years for every one that passes. German scientists have been unable to perfect a temorary treatment that will produce a similar effect, or a cure for the aging effect. The initial test subject was Albrecht Bierstadt, who was raised a socialist, and joined the Nazi party as soon as he was old enough. He started out as an SA, storm trooper, but volunteered to participate in the Blitz Soldat project when the chance was offered. Since acquiring his powers he has become a living symbol of the Geman Blitzkrieg. He has fought a in a number of front line battles, acted as an emergency courier, and gone on special missions behind enemy lines. He cannot stand to sit still or be patient long due to the fact that he knows he will probably die of old age before or shortly after the end of the war. |
