4. Heightened Senses (Enhanced Vision): Hawkeye's exceptionally sharp eyesight allows him to ignore the Range To-Hit Modifier as if it was one level lower (i.e. +0 for any distance up to 60", -1 from 61 to 120, -2 from 121 to 240, -3 from 241 to 480, etc.).
5. Heightened Senses Device (Miniature Hearing Aids): Hawkeye can turn up his miniature hearing aids to increase his hearing range (double his Detect Hidden and Detect Danger rolls). While his hearing aids are turned up, he suffers double damage from any sonic attacks.
6. Special Weapon (Custom Bow & Trick Arrows): Hawkeye's custom bow has a range of 66" and a +5 to hit bonus (unless mentioned otherwise, Hawkeye's arrows attack as Hand to Hand). Hawkeye's quiver can carry up to 36 arrows with 12 of these being normal arrows (HTH +1 Damage), 6 of these are broad-bladed arrows (HTH +1d4 Damage) and the remaining 18 are various modular (trick) arrows:

ACID ARROW
Contains a bulb of concentrated nitric acid that burns on impact (HTH +1d12 Damage). The acid will spray out in a 1" radius upon impact.
BOLA ARROW
Releases three small, heavy balls on 18 inch cables to entwine target (HTH +1D6 Damage). The target must make a saving throw vs. Agility (d20) to avoid having either his legs or arms entangled (Arms - failure means he drops what ever he was holding; Legs - moves at 1/10th normal movement rate).
BOOMERANG ARROW
Contains homing-circuitry-controlled weight-shifting mechanisms (HTH +1D8 Damage). This unusual arrows flies past its target and then curves back to strike (multiple the victim's chances of being knocked unconscious by 4).
CABLE ARROW
Contains spool with 50-foot length of 0.36 inch cable which unreals through shaft. Hawkeye uses this cable to swing from one location to another (Swinging movement rate = 1/4 ground movement rate).
ELECTRO-ARROW
Generates a 21, 000 volt charge upon impact (HTH +2D8 Damage), 60% to short-out electrical devices.
EXPLOSIVE-TIP ARROW
Contains a composite plastic explosive that detonates on impact (HTH +1d20 Damage), Blast Radius 2".
FLARE ARROW
Contains magnesium/iron powder flare that ignites 5 seconds after release. Special Attack to Blind (attacks as Light Control), Radius 4", Endurance save on d100 between-turns to recover. Blinded victims behave as if encircled in Darkness.
NET ARROW
Releases 10 foot wide, .036 inch cable net through end of shaft. Radius 2", 2d12 x 50 lbs. vs. target's Carrying Capacity (if over, opponent is immobilized).
PUTTY ARROW
Contains bulb of highly sticky chemical that bursts upon impact. 2d8 x 40 lbs. vs. target's Carrying Capacity (if over, opponent is immobilized). Special attacks can be used to target specific locations of the body (i.e. hands, arms, legs, etc.).
ROCKET ARROW
Contains small solid-fueled missile-head with various payloads up to 2 lbs. Range 132". This arrow may be used in conjunction with any of the other modular arrow tips thus increasing the 2nd arrow's range.
SMOKE BOMB ARROW
Emits thick, bilious clouds of chemical smoke 2 seconds after release. Radius 6", vision is obscured, movement within the smoke requires an Agility Save on 1d20 to avoid an accident causing 1d6 Damage (treat as Darkness Power).
SONIC ARROW
Emits a high-pitched 95 decibel sound 2 seconds after release. Special Attack to Deafen (attacks as Sonic Abilities), Radius 4", Endurance save on d100 between-turns to recover.
SUCTION-TIP ARROW
Tip is covered with micro-adhesors capable of sticking to almost anything. This arrow causes 1 point of damage only. It is often combined with the Cable Arrow to allow movement via a swinging line (see the Cable Arrow above for Swinging movement rates).
TEAR GAS ARROW
Releases concentrated cloud of lacrimatory-irritant 3 seconds after release. Attacks as Chemical Power, Radius 4". The tear gas causes 1d8 damage and the victim must make an Endurance save (on d100) or suffer a -5 penalty to all attacks. This penalty is negated once the target exits the radius of the tear gas attack.

7. Weakness (Physical Handicap): Hawkeye is 80% deaf in both ears. He wears specially-designed miniature hearing aids. Without his hearing aids, Hawkeye's Detect Hidden and Detect Danger rolls are halved. He is considered to have automatic Willpower Defense against Sonic Attacks when his hearing aids are turned off.

Origin and Background: (American) Clinton Barton was the younger of two sons born to a small business proprietor and his wife. When his parents were killed in an automobile accident when he was eight, Barton and his brother were placed in the state orphanage. At fourteen, Clint and Barney Barton ran away from the institute to join a traveling carnival. There Clint Barton apprenticed himself to the carnival's star attraction, the mysterious rogue known only as the Swordsman. Recognizing Clint's natural flair for archery, the Swordsman agreed to tutor him in the art. (Barney Barton was relegated to menial work.)
For eight hours every day for four years, the younger Barton practiced with bow and arrow, soon becoming good enough to perform professionally as a trick shooter under the name of Hawkeye the Marksman. When Barton was eighteen, he accidentally discovered that his mentor was stealing from the carnival management. When the boy refused to become his partner in crime, the Swordsman chased Barton up onto a tightrope and cut it out from under him. The Swordsman left him for dead and fled the carnival. Found by his brother Barney, Clint Barton was rushed to a hospital and eventually recovered from the compound fractures to his legs. A year later, he rejoined the carnival and resumed his act.
One day Barton witnessed Iron Man in action, and decided to emulate him by donning a colorful costume and using his archery skills to battle crime. However, in his first public appearance as a masked hero, Hawkeye was mistaken for a thief and found himself in battle with Iron Man. Weeks later, his attraction for the Russian spy Black Widow led him to commit further acts on the wrong side of the law. However, Iron Man soon learned of Hawkeye's true nature and sponsored him for Avengers membership.
Hawkeye has been an active member of the Avengers for years, with his archery skills augmenting the superhuman powers of his associates. For a short time, Barton abandoned his Hawkeye identity, and taking Henry Pym's growth serum, operated under the name Goliath. He resumed his Hawkeye identity soon after. He has frequently taken extended leaves of absence from the Avengers, trying to establish a career for himself outside of the group. He was once security chief for Cross Technological Enterprises.
Hawkeye met and eloped with fellow crimefighter Mockingbird during one of his leaves of absence from the Avengers. Upon his return, he was appointed the chairman of a second team of Avengers based on the West Coast by then chairman, the Vision. Hawkeye and Mockingbird currently lived in the new Avengers Compound outside Los Angeles and were the guiding force behind the new team.
