4. Mutant Power (Bioelectrical Generation): El Águila possesses the ability to discharge electrostatic charges, generated by his own body, through a conductive medium. The major limitation of El Águila's bioelectric blast is that he must be in contact with a conductive metal in order to release it. He carries a double-edged steel sword (+2 to hit, HTH +1d6 Damage) through which he shoots his mutant bioelectrical energy (Attacks as Lightning Control, Range 6", +1 to Hit (Training Bonus), 1d20+1 Damage, PR 4/blast). El Águila can also charge his sword and attempt a HTH carrier attack against his target. If successful, he does the standard damage for the sword plus an additional 1d20 Damage for the bioelectrical charge (PR cost 3/successful carrier attack). El Águila can also try to short out electrical devices with his bioelectric charges (PR 4/attempt, Range 6", 36% Chance of Success). To protect the secret of his mutant nature, he deliberately misleads the public to believe that his sword houses an electric blaster |

5. Natural Weaponry (Swashbuckling Fighting Style): +2 to Hit, +4 Damage. El Águila's swashbuckling fighting style is complemented by his expert swordsmanship (he can apply these modifiers when fighting with a sword). | ||

Origin and Background: (Spanish) Little is as yet known about the life of Alejandro Montoya, the costumed swashbuckler called El Águila ("The Eagle"). Born in Spain, Montoya is a mutant whose superhuman power manifested itself while he was a teenager. It is not known when or where Montoya undertook the art of fencing or if he adopted the identity of El Įguila before coming to America or after. Once in America, El Águila began to prey upon criminals, particularly drug dealers, slumlords, and those whose criminal activities most affected the poor. It is probable that the money he confiscated from these criminals was redistributed to the poor. Since his activities have been outside the law, El Águila has been wanted by the police and has found himself in conflict with Power Man and Iron Fist on several occasions. Note: Origin and Background text is from "The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe #1" (Deluxe Edition) and is used without permission. |
